Membership in TODA is open to any orchestra director or teacher working at any level. TODA also embraces retired directors and teachers, and college orchestra students.

The Texas Orchestra Directors Association (TODA) is founded for the purposes of providing educational opportunities for its members and for all other purposes as recommended by its member board of directors. This includes Annual Convention and New Music Reading Clinic, the TODA Web site, and a quarterly member newsletter, TODANews.
TODA is approved by the State Board for Education Certification as a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider.
